Today was a real drifter with small pulses of wind passing through – Derry got his
first win and was showing great speed early on. Oscar won the practice race and but
for going aground near the weather mark had another. Andrew despite a frustrating
start to his day with winch tangles came out gunning and found wind all the way up
the shore to take a bullet. With three race days left it is all to go for as 4 discards
are already used up….need to confirm how many we can have btw!!
Oscars spindrift main #1 had great speed - they do look a bit maxed out size wise
and luff tabling seems shrunk relative to mylar ?
Fluky breeze and squally conditions – just as well all got in before the rain. Results
here for you perusal. perhaps Barry can put them up on the Web! 35 races down and
just 1 point between Alan and Oscar! Andrew holding the lead and proves hard to beat.
